Hip Health 2010:
Current Perspectives for Health Care Professionals
September 10-11, 2010
Delta Meadowvale Resort and Conference Centre
Mississauga, Ontario, Canada
Dear Colleagues and Friends,
It is a great pleasure to announce our course titled "Hip Health 2010: Current Perspectives," which will be held at the Delta Meadowvale Resort and Conference Centre in Mississauga, Ontario on September 10th and 11th, 2010. We have compiled an array of lectures and case presentations to cover all aspects of hip health.
Hip Health 2010: Current Perspectives is designed to provide participants with a detailed update on the pertinent operative and non-operative aspects of hip management in 2010. As 2010 represents the second year of our course, we have taken the onus to implement a variety of suggestions from the feedback we received from our 2009 course. Accordingly, Hip Health 2010 has introduced a core of case-based learning and "All You Need to Know in 2010" lectures. These are complemented with our faculty-driven discussion periods to encourage participants to interact and engage in the sessions.
The primary subjects that will be covered by this course are the paediatric and young adult hip, non-operative and operative management of the adult arthritic hip, complication prevention, and our new section on hip issues in women. The course is designed for physicians and allied health care professionals and trainees who treat and manage patients with hip problems. Specifically, the content is intended for orthopaedic surgeons and trainees, rheumatologists, sports medicine physicians, family physicians, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, nurse practitioners and nurses. We strongly believe that this program will give participants a comprehensive foundation of the present state of hip health.
We have assembled an excellent and diverse faculty for this course. In addition to the official program, this course offers excellent opportunities to meet experts in the field and to establish relationships with colleagues and professionals, especially during our Cocktail Reception being held directly after adjournment on September 10th. The course is CME accredited.
Registration is open and we encourage you to register early, as space is limited. Our Course Coordinator is available to assist you with all aspects of the registration process.
